SRM Stickers Border Sticker Spotlight

I am showing a cute little project on the SRM Stickers blog today.  It is a gift bag that doubles as a gift card holder.  A fun way to package a gift card.  I also have a tutorial on my post on how to make the adorable little bow on the front of it out of SRM Border Stickers.  

So to see more of my project please click here.  Just a little information about the gift card holder itself.  I cut it out using my Cameo and a Lori Whitlock Designs digital cutting file.  You can see the file here.  It's called the Sliding Gift Card Holder Bracket.   It is so cute and it even comes in different styles.  I love how when you lift the flap the gift card slides into view.  A very fun way to package those gift cards.

Fun and Unique Gifts for the Holidays

I love being able to create fun and unique gifts for the people I know.  There are so many ideas that you use to create with these tubes from SRM Stickers.  I love that you can fill them with so many options.  

Candy of course is my favorite but you will find that I have used anything from pencils to lemonade before in them.  You can find more pictures of my card and tubes on the SRM Sticker blog today and even more ideas from the other team members.  You will be amazed by the variety of ideas.  Yesterday, a craft kit gift, packaged in tubes was featured.  

A couple quick tips:

The ornaments were cut out using a Silhouette file by Lori Whitlock called Christmas Ornaments Simple.  SRM Border stickers were used to decorate the ornaments.  I punched a hole through the top of the ornament and thread silver thread through the hole.  I scrunched a bit of tulle, sandwiched it between the ornament and tube and tied it altogether to the tube.  Then I decorated the tubes with more border stickers, twine, and tags.  The little tags also have SRM Stickers Sentiments on them.  The card was created with paper by Stampin Up! and punched snowflakes.  Large one is from Martha Stewart.  The Christmas Cheer sentiment was from SRM Stickers.

I will be teaching at The Scrapbook Princess on October 20th for the Santa's Workshop where we will be making some fun gifts using these SRM Stickers tubes.  I hope you can join us!

It's Time to Start Making Christmas Cards

Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?  Well if you haven't yet don't worry.  There is still plenty of time.  I haven't officially started yet but I came across this October Afternoon 8x8 pad the other day and I was inspired to create this card. 

I LOVE those Santa images on the background patterned paper.  I also used some of my SRM Stickers.  The Joy sentiment fit perfectly in the cream cardstock strip and the clear sticker faux stitching was so easy to use.

Jump Start Christmas Card Class

I got my errands done early this morning to beat the rain that was coming, so I'm now sitting in my studio crafting away and enjoying the sounds of the rain outside my window.  Every once in awhile it's nice to have days like this. 

The project that I am showing you today is for an upcoming class that I am teaching at The Scrapbook Princess.  We will be making 8 cards using some of my favorite SRM Stickers.  The cards are quick and easy to make and will be very easy to duplicate if you need to make mutliples.  Each card also comes with a mini sketch which you can use for reference or to make different cards.

SRM Stickers- Tiny Calendar

SRM Stickers and Lawn Fawn

The countdown to the first day of school has begun in my house.  We went and registered my 8th grader today and he is all ready to go August 20th.  My daughter is starting her second year of college on the same day and she is looking forward to this year too.  Garrett is not going to school but we may try a little Mom's Day Out program to get him used to being around other kids.  Well, on to the reason you are here.  I've got a little card to show you today  :)

We've got a fun co-feature with Lawn Fawn stamps on the SRM Stickers blog today.  It's day 2 and the first days projects were gorgeous!!  I used the stamp set Sunny Skies by Lawn Fawn and the sentiment, You Are My Sunshine, from SRM Summer Sentiments Stickers.

Other supplies that I used to make my card are patterned papers from the Hello Summer by Echo Park, Hemp by Hemptique, Washi Tape from Bella Blvd and marker colors by Copic.

Thank You Card and Tag

Just a quick little post tonight as I want to share a couple of things that I made just for fun!  So much of what I do is for an "assignment" that sometimes I like to just play and use my paper and tools for fun.  Not that I don't have fun doing my assignments but sometimes it nice to not have to "do" something specific or pre planned.  

So I created this little Thank You card and gift tag set.  I used some of my favorite SRM Border Stickers and some scraps of paper from a 6x6 pad that I had in my scrap pile.

Those SRM Stickers really do all the work for you.  Love them!

Back to School Soon? A Fun Teacher Gift Idea

I've got a fun little idea for you today.  School will be starting again before you know it and wouldn't your child love to present his/her teacher with this fun and functional gift?  Let me show you how easy this gift using SRM Stickers and Tubes are to make.

You will need a Tube from SRM Stickers.  The medium size worked great.  You can see them here.  I did have to sharpen the pencils down a tiny bit so that they weren't too tall to fit into the tube with the top on.

The first thing that I did was to use my Crop-A-Dile to punch two holes across from each other in the top of the sides of the tube.  Then I inserted a large eyelet into each hole and threaded a ribbon in each side and tied a knot.  That forms the lanyard.  Then I created a little tag with a die cut clipboard on it and wrote the teacher's name on it in white gel pen.

Then I decorated the bottom of the tube with school themed stickers from SRM Stickers.
