Color Me Crazy

Spring has finally sprung here in Alabama.  The weather this week has been gorgeous.  Too bad, Spring Break was so cold and rainy.  This would have been the perfect Spring Break weather.  The trees are covered in white, pink, and dark pink flowers.  It is so lovely to drive around my neighborhood.  

If you have a hard time finding just the right color flower to go with your project, Petaloo has just the product for you.  The Color Me Crazy line can be inked, sprayed, misted, painted, glittered, and probably a million other things that I can't think of right now.  They start out white and then it is up to you how they end up.

For this card, I colored the large petal with my Copic Marker and then painted the smaller flower with Smooch paint.  Can see the shimmer in the smooch painted flower.  

Here is another card that I made to go along with the first.  I just love the bright colors of this Kaiser Craft line.  

 

I am sorry to say that I have decided to cancel my retreat.  I guess holding it on Mother's Day weekend was not such a great idea.  Truthfully I didn't even realize it was the same weekend until just now.  I will be rescheduling it for later on in the year so look for more on it later.  If you have any questions just email me directly at [email protected]

 

 

Another Big Announcement

I am so excited to finally be able to tell you about something special I have been working on.  This is something that I have dreamed about doing for a long time now and I can't believe it is actually going to come true. 

I will be hosting my first Scrap Away Scrapbooking Retreat.

Remember the quilting bees of long ago.  Women bonded with each other and gained skills and support as well as friendship.  The world has certainly marched on and has changed the way women can share time with one another.  Retreats are the perfect answer.  Getting away, having fun, talking with friends or making new ones, and sharing a similar passion while creating can reenergize and motivate as well as jump start your creativity.

During this retreat we will celebrate the incredible strength of coming together to share, talk, teach, and support each other as strong determined women.  Whether you are looking to learn the newest paper crafting techniques, relax and rewind, talk to others that share your same passion or make new connections attending A Scrap Away Retreat will be an incredible unique experience for each and every person who attends.

What you can expect:

1. Four classes where you will learn new techniques and create unique projects.
2. Crop time on both Friday and Saturday evening
3. Two special make n takes, one at each crop.
4. A goodie bag filled with special surprises.
5. Lodging in a gorgeous relaxing Georgia mountain cabin for two nights.  Bring your bathing suit.  They have a jacuzzi!!!
6. Meals, light lunch and dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday
7. Sodas, water, and coffee any time of the day.  Special snack breaks.  If you so choose bring a beverage of your choice.
8. Access to a Cricut die cutting machine and other tools.
9. ...and many more surprises.
