Welcome to Simon Says Stamp's weekly Wednesday Challenge.  Each week we have fabulous challenges and prizes on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  I hope you will join us this week because we have a fun new challenge for you.  Create a card using

3 Different Papers

The design team are also featuring stamps from either C.C. Designs or The Greeting Farm.  Please play along with us if you have any.  I had a lot of fun with some faux stitching on this card.  I recently got a white gelly roll pen from Sakura and I love it.  It goes on so smooth and easy.

This week I chose to use this little cutie from C.C. Designs.  My papers are from My Mind's Eye.  I also used my new Ephihany tool.  Love this.  It's a simple concept and so fun to use to make custom, matching embellishments.  I can't wait to get some of the other sizes and shapes.

Here she is all colored and popped off the page.  I colored her with my Copic Markers and the cut her out.  I love the dimension that this creates.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Tag It

It's a busy Wednesday around my house this week.  The rest of my family will be arriving to spend Thanksgiving with us and the cooking and baking is in full swing.  The house is full but so is my heart.  

So today I've got a quick post for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week.  It's called Tag It!  Just create either a tag or incorporate a tag in your card.  Simply and fun right?  I need to get started on my gift tags for this year so I created this little cutie.  I love the C.C. Designs stamps and this one, Sugarplum Christmas Emma, has always been a favorite.  

I colored Emma with Copic markers and cut her out and then mounted her with foam dots to the tag.  The scalloped border was cut with a Spellbinders border die using some Echo Park Holly Jolly patterned paper.

The large snowflake is from Ek Success and the baker's twine is from the Twinery.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Embossing and Belles n Whistles

This week we are featuring Belles n Whistles stamps.  I used the stamp called Watering but there are so many others that are on my wish list.  I will share some of those at the end of my post so be sure to scroll down.

 Our challenge this week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is to incorporate dry or wet embossing.  Each of these techniques are fun to do and of course give you a very different look.  If you haven't try either technique please take this opportunity to submit a card.  You will really enjoy the process.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge- Card for a Child

 This week's challenge is a fun and easy one at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog!!  We are looking for everyone to make a card for a child.  I thought that this C.C. Designs stamp, Kiki La Rue, Cupcake, would be the perfect image for a child's birthday.  The number on the card can of course be any number.  This paper from Jillibean Soup called Spotted Owl Soup in a 6x6 pad is new in the Simon Says Stamp Online store.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge- Happy Birthday

 

I never have enough birthday cards so this challenge was a fun and welcome one.  This week our challenge on Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is to create a card in a birthday theme.  

I love this Magnolia stamp.  It's from an older Magnolia release called Wedding 2010.  It's name is Gift Giving Tilda and even though from the wedding collection I think it is a perfect birthday stamp.  Don't forget to check out the older sets if you are looking for a new stamp because there are so many cute Magnolia stamps throughout the entire collection.

To create the card I used paper from a 6x6 pad from Prima called Annalee.  This pad is beautiful and has so many pretty papers.  I will be sure to use it again and again.

The sentiment is from a C.C.Designs and Amy R Designs Birthday Sentiments set.  This birthday set is definitely my GoTo birthday sentiment set.

The flowers are by Magnolia and are two different styles.  They are a fabulous size and shape.  The small red roses are the Mini Vintage Red Roses and the pink flowers are the Vintage Pink Lilies.  There are many others to chose from in the Simon Says Stamp store too.

I also used these Spellbinders Nestabilities oval dies and oval scalloped dies.

Hey everyone.  I'm back today with another challenge from the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  We are looking for cards with fun animal stamps.  My card features the famous House Mouse stamps.  It was so easy to color this fun image, Poppin Good Time, with my Copic markers.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Bingo

We've got a special challenge for you this week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  We are inviting you to play Bingo with us.  The Bingo board is found on the challenge blog.  You will need to pick any 3 items that are in a straight line (up, down, across, diagonal).  For example I used Punch/Die Cuts, Dry Embossing, an Ribbon which is the bottom row on the Bingo Board.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- All White

I am so excited about  sharing my card for today's challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  I am definitely going to try more of these style cards.  I love how this monochromatic scheme looks in all white.  So the challenge this week is to create a card that is all white except for the stamped image.  If you didn't stop by my blog from the challenge blog I encourage you to check out the rest of the DT's cards.  They are stunning.

Let me tell you a little about my card.  The stamp that I used is from Penny Black.  Simon Says Stamp carries many of the Penny Black line and this is just one of my favorites.  

I colored the snowman in with some Copic markers and then smeared on some Stickles in Stardust all over the snowman.   Then I popped up the image with Glue Dots Pop Dots and attached it to a open scalloped die cut from my Silhouette.  

The background paper has been embossed with the new larger sized 5x7 Cuttlebug folder called Polka Dots.  I love these new larger sizes because I can now use them on paper for my square cards.

The white flowers are Petaloo.  These flowers are gorgeous!!  The perfect accent on this card.  I love the texture on them.  They are handmade from Mulberry paper and have the gems already adhered to them.  

Lastly the sentiment that I used was one from a favorite new stamp set that I just got.  It is from Merry & Bright, one of two sets by Amy R for C.C. Designs.  Check out the other set, Holiday Greetings, too.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Going Dotty

Yeah, it's Wednesday, so that means a brand new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  This week's theme is Going Dotty.  Dots are hot, so the challenge is to incorporate dots into your card design whether it be the paper, the stamp, the embellishments, anything.  The Design Team is also featuring Prima flowers so if you want to add some on your card that would be great but it is not required.  

The prize, of course, is fabulous!  A random winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Simon Says Stamp online store and Heidi and the girls are at CHA right now picking out all the new products that will be filling the store in the next couple of weeks.  Wouldn't that be fun!!  New releases in your hot little hands, for free!

Well here is my card for this week.  I love this Mermaid stamp called Reef Weaver from C.C. Designs.  Simon Says Stamp carries them all.  So if you like me and had to have them all, hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Online store and get yours.  The sentiment is by Amy R. for C.C. Designs and is part of the Beach Sentiment Set witch has a ton of beachy sayings.

 

As I said earlier we are spotlighting Prima Flowers this week.  I love how in this card they look like they were surrounding her on the ocean floor as she swims.  

Here is a closeup.  I used my Copics to color her in and then sprayed the overall image with Smooch Spritz in Vanilla.  That color is my hands down favorite sparkly spray.  It is a little distracting when you take a photograph with it on your image but irl it is gorgeous!  I also used Olivia, the new paper by Basic Grey to design my card.  This paper is gorgeous and a must have.  Love it!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Check it Out

Welcome to this week's new Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day.  This challenge is so fun and easy.  All you have to do is create a card that has a checked, gingham, or plaid pattern on it and link it to the challenge blog.  The prize is fantastic and I know you all have some paper that will fit the challenge so why not join us. 

Here is my card. I used TreasureTempestwind, one of the new Sweet November mermaid stamps from C.C. Designs, plus a sentiment from their Beach Sentiments.  I totally love those mermaids.  There are 5 in all. They have the cutest little friends too that you get along with the mermaid stamp.

The paper is from Poppy Seeds by K& Company and the silver flourish embellishment was cut out using Tim Holtz's die Elegant Flourishes from silver glitter paper by Best Creations.
