Another fun challenge was issued today on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog. Our theme this week is
April Showers Bring Spring Flowers
This week the Design Team are showcasing Bo Bunny and/or Basic Grey products so if you have either of these two products, we would love to see them in your projects this week but if not, please come and join us anyway !!
Here is my card. I went all out with stamps and paper by Basic Grey. I love this new Plumeria collection. The papers are so soft and pretty and just the shade of purple that I love. The Hero Arts stamps that match the Plumeria are to die for. I've only used two of them from the set, the flowers and label, but the others are great too. Little postage stamps, a heart and scalloped circle. I know that I will be using these over and over again.
I stamped my flower image with Momenta Ink and the image with Copic Markers. I used V93, V95, YG91, and YG95 for the flower part and G000 for the leaves. Then I cut out the flowers and popped it up with foam adhesive. I did the same treatment on the label which is also part of the Hero Arts/Basic Grey set.
You might notice the subtle leaf background on the purple Basic Grey paper. I actually used another Hero Arts stamp to create it. It's one of my favorite background stamps. I stamped it using Night of Navy from Stampin Up! but any navy blue color would look great. The butterfly is a sticker from the Plumeria collection and I dressed it up with some Hero Arts Neutral gems.
