The Got Sketch blog is celebrating their 5th Birthday with a big bang! A new fun challenge sketch, prizes, and a free PDF for everyone.
Here is the challenge! Using Valerie sketch which you can see here
Create a layout with the following criteria:
"5" is the magic number.
- 5 photos (any size)
- 5 types of cardstock & patterned papers (use those scraps!)
- a cluster of 5 accents (not strict on this. buttons/brads count.)
Any theme. Any color scheme. You can flip the sketch, rotate it, and interpret it any which way as long as your layout falls within the criteria listed above.
My layout doesn't quite fit the criteria but I wanted to show how you could change the sketch a little to meet your needs. I love that sketches are so flexible.
I used Doodlebug's new baby line Snips and Snails on my layout. I love this paper. I most certainly did not get enough of it!! I see some shopping in my future!
All of the embellishments are also from Doodlebug. One of my favorite parts is how their die cuts are double sided. One side has cute icons and decorations and the other side is more plain and open and ready for your decoration. The journal die cut is a great example. One the other side there were more pictures which would have been in the way of my journaling strips. Love the versatility!
A couple more closeups. Love how the black and white pictures work well with the colors in the papers.
So make sure to stop by the Got Sketch blog for the chance to win prizes and to enter our challenge!! May 13th is the deadline so link your layout up on the Got Sketch Challenge blog post soon.
