Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- March Anything Goes

 

Welcome to my Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog post for this week.  The last week of the month is always an Anything Goes Challenge which means that there are no rules.  Well, maybe just one.  It has to be something that you made and blogged about this week.  So just go and get your crafting stuff out and just play.  Just make something just because you wanted to try out your new stamp, or maybe because you wanted to learn a new technique.  Just have fun!  That's my rule!

Here is my card. All of the design team members are highlighting Simon Says Stamp's wonderful selection of My Favorite Things products.  You can find tons of stamps and dies from My Favorite Things here. 

I went a little die crazy and used the MFT clouds and MFT leafy flourish to create an outdoor scene.  Isn't that little frog the cutest?  When I saw him, I was sold!!  The sentiment really makes me smile too.  The MFT stamp is called Feeling Froggy. 

Do you see the paper I used?  It's a brand new 6x6 paper pad from Bo Bunny called Alora.  It's really bright and fun and I love it!!  The flowers are from Petaloo.  They started out white but I since I wanted them to match the paper I colored them with the same Copic marker that I used on the little girls shirt.

The clouds were first cut out using the MFT die and then I ran them through my Polka Dots Cuttlebug folder.  I love the texture it creates.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Bingo

 

Well, I'm a little late on my post for Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog this week.  I've been sick since Monday with a nasty cold and haven't even felt like a human being until today and that is probably stretching it.  When I get sick, I really get it good.  So I'm going to tell you a little bit about my card and get back into bed. :)

This week we have a Bingo challenge for you.  You can find the Bingo card here.  Just pick 3 embellishments in a row in any direction and include them on your card.  Then post your card to your blog or online gallery and link it up to this week's challenge post here.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- A Bit o' Green

Well with St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, this week's challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is right on target!!  This week we are challenging everyone to create a card with green in it!  The design team is also spotlighting Hero Arts stamps (one of my favorite companies) so if you have any please join us.

I created a card that is a little bit out of my norm but I really had a lot of fun.  I've been experimenting a little with different card styles and when I saw this Hero Arts car stamp the sentiment just popped into my head and I knew exactly what I wanted my card to look like. 

To place the sentiment in just the right place on my card, I first printed it out on typing paper using my word processing program.  Then I held the card base up to the typing paper in front of a window.  The light shone through the paper so I could see where the white card base needed to be.  Then I  adhered the card base to the typing paper in that exact spot and ran it through my printer again. So easy!  

The clouds on my card were cut out of a piece of paper from Echo Park's Summer 6x6 paper pad and the car was stamped onto some Jillibean Soup 6x6 paper.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Mother's Day/Special Girl

Welcome to Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog Wednesday!!  This week we are getting ready for Mother's Day by challenging you to make a Mother's Day or Special Girl card.  I guess my card could be for either occasion with my My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence, Because You're Special image.

I used one of my favorite and I believe versatile paper pads, Happy Days by Echo Park.  There are so many cool pairings in this 6x6 paper pad.  I could probably make about a dozen cards and you would never know that they all came from the same pad of paper.  

Here is a closeup of the Pure Innocence Because You're Special image.  Isn't she just the sweetest?  There are also a couple of great sentiments included in this stamp set too.  In addition to the fun Hero Arts pearls, I loaded my card up with beautiful Petaloo flowers.  These flowers so soft and sweet and perfect for card makers!!
