Where does the time go? I can't believe it's already December and the year is almost over. I've been rushing around trying to get all of my holiday preperations going and wondering if I will get it all done. We decorated our tree last night so check that off the list and I'm going to try to get the kids to do their gingerbread house tonight. I love that even though they are older they still love to do all of the our tradional events each year.
So today I have a new challenge for you at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog. Our challenge to you is to make a card that is inspired by the pictures below. The grouping was done with Pinterest which by the way if you haven't yet signed up you should. Need an invite just leave me a comment and I'll get one out to you. :)
Here is my card for this week. I was inspired by the Christmas trees, the glitter and the antique colors. The paper by Authentique that I picked has that vintage feel to it too.
It's sort of hard to see but if you look closely you can see little raised dots around the image. I cut my image out with an oval Spellbinders die and then created little dots with Ranger's White Enamel Accents. It is the most amazing product. Much easier to use than Perfect Pearls I think. It dries really quick and leaves a beautiful shiny dimensional perfectly round dot.
I covered Tilda's dress with Stickles so there is a lot of shine onit and colored her little head band with a Clear Star Jelly Roll pen by Sakura.

The tree was cut out on my Silhouette using the cut shown above. I also created an offset shape from it so that my tree had a matting around it. The sentiment came from a cardstock punchout in the Authentique Wonders line and I used punches for the mats around it.
Don't forget to link up your challenge card to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog to be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to the Simon Says Stamp online store. If you haven't stopped by lately you really should. They have so many new items coming in weekly and carry everything for your stamping and scrapbooking needs. Just go to the top of the page and type in the search box what you are looking for and you will see.
See you next week!!
