Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Animal Antics

 

Hey everyone.  I'm back today with another challenge from the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  We are looking for cards with fun animal stamps.  My card features the famous House Mouse stamps.  It was so easy to color this fun image, Poppin Good Time, with my Copic markers.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- Bingo

We've got a special challenge for you this week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.  We are inviting you to play Bingo with us.  The Bingo board is found on the challenge blog.  You will need to pick any 3 items that are in a straight line (up, down, across, diagonal).  For example I used Punch/Die Cuts, Dry Embossing, an Ribbon which is the bottom row on the Bingo Board.

Got Sketch #107

Valerie has posted a brand new sketch on her Got Sketch blog.  This sketch is fantastic and is great for those pages were you have lots of pictures.  Any of the blocks can be used for pictures as well as patterned paper.  Please stop by the blog and check out how the other designers used the sketch.

All Grown Up

Journaling:  It just seems like yesterday that you were running around the house dragging your blanket behind you.  Even though I miss those years I am proud to see you all Grown up.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Day- New Beginnings

Ah, new beginnings are wonderful.  So many ways to start anew.  This week's challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is to create a card around the New Beginnings theme.  I chose to make a card celebrating a new home.  I also chose to use a brand new stamp set that I just got at Simon Says Stamp.  I just discovered Darcie's Clear Stamps and absolutely love them.  They are just gorgeous.  I love all the swirls and patterns incorporated in the designs.  You can find them all at the Simon Says Stamp online store.

  Here is the stamp set that I used.  It's called Flourish House Owl Tree.

I first stamped the house in red and then again in black.  I cut them both out but just used the roof on the black image.  The background was created using a technique I learned about from Andrea Vernagus in the March/April 2010 Paper Crafts Magazine. Using a scalloped circle punch and blue ink I created the clouds on the background paper.  

Then I took some paper from the Comso Cricket 6x6 paper pad, Garden Variety, and created grass for the house.  The while time I was really wishing that I had the Martha Stewart fringe scissors.
