Okay, I have found a new obsession at CHA this week. I stopped by the Unity Stamps booth, more out of curiosity than anything, to see exactly how to use their stamps. I was really confused by the whole handle thing. Well I met Michelle, who is a wonderfully sweet person, and she set me straight.
Okay, first of all, what I learned was that you do not need to use the handles to stamp with their stamps though some might feel it works better in their hand with the handle.
Secondly, a lot of their stamps are cut out and foam mounted ready to use with your favorite acrylic block.
Thirdly, the wood mounted stamps that they do have are usually big enough that you can use them just as they are. The handles might make them easier to hold but are not required.
Well, what I learned right there sold me, besides the obvious fact that they have the coolest, most fun stamps that I have seen lately. They work well for both the stamper and the scrapbooker in me. I couldn't ask for more. On top of all that I was lucky enough to receive a free stamp set from Christian (one of the company's owners). It is called This is the Time and couldn't have been a better set for me to use on my first Unity Stamps card.
What do you think?
Supplies: Stamps: Unity Stamps- This is the Time; Cardstock: Stampin Up!; Ink: Stampin Up!; Ribbon and Brads: Stampin Up!; Patterned Paper: 7 Gypsies (new for CHA Summer09)
I can't tell you enough how friendly and fun all of the people at Unity Stamps are. They love what they do and it shows. All of the stamps are made in America and in their own shop. They are a member company on SplitCoast Stampers and have a wonderful gallery and forum. They have weekly challenges and fun! Be sure to check them out there or on their blog or website.
Do you see the new 7 Gypsies paper? I was so lucky to get some small sample pieces of it. It is just gorgeous and so fun to play with. Look for it soon at Scrapbook Mania!
I love this! It's a fun card. Love the colors and mix matched dots all over! I often look for jumbled number and alpha stamps to use for birthdays and personal touches on my work. Look no further!!! Oh I forgot to comment-I like the blog this way. It feels familiar when I open your posts to read your updates. The colors are cheery and now I associate that with your work. Just thought I'd let ya know!
