New Babies

I have a couple of friends who are having babies this month so I am starting on my cards and gifts for them.  This stamp set by Pink Cat Studios was perfect.  I just love Tweet.  I used Mojo Monday's sketch 74 for the design of the card.  It was a great sketch.  I had to change mine up a bit because I just didn't like my stamped image cut out in a square.  Then I flipped the card over so it balanced out a little better.   Each Monday they post a new one so make sure to stop by tomorrow and play along.  You might also notice that there is a lot of beautiful new Stampin Up! paper on my card.  This is Raspberry Tart and I just love the color combinations.  I am going to make a couple of mini books to go along with this card so look for those soon.

I got some new stamps!!

As soon as I tore open the envelope I was racing down the stairs to my scraproom to ink them up.  So what has gotten me in such a tizzy.  Well, Tilda, of course.  I just love my new stamps from Magnolia.  Tilda is the sweetest little thing in the world.  I love all the different looks she has and I can't wait to get more.  Here is my first stamp of three.

I sent this particular card to my sister for her birthday which is on Monday.  I hope it gets there in time.  Happy Birthday Sis.  I will be back tomorrow with another card that I need to put a few final touches on.

My second layout for Got Sketch 103

My scrapbooking time has seriously been limited lately because of my obsession with my Copic Markers but I am trying to stay somewhat caught up with my sketches on Got Sketch 103.  I am an alumni of Got Sketch 101 and 102 and wouldn't have thought twice about signing up again for 103.  You get so much from this class.  Tips, techniques, sketches, step by step directions, the list goes on and on.  I also love the social network that they have created as well.  The scrappers on there are so sweet and I have received some of the most amazing comments on my layouts.  I believe you can still sign up so if you are interested in learning more click here.

Here is my layout for Sketch 1  (Okay, okay, I know we are already on Sketch 3 so I am not staying as current as I might like to have you believe.  Ha Ha)

Don't you just love all those buttons.  I don't think I have ever used that many buttons on a layout before but I love the look of them.

I am so excited

I will be going to the Copic Marker Certification class in Pensacola next week.  What fun!!!  I have really gotten hooked on Copic Markers and as you might know, have a couple of classes at Scrapbook Mania scheduled.  This certification will definitely be something to put on my scrapbooking, card making "resume"! 

Here is another one of my cards that I made this past week.  I also just received a couple of new stamps so I am busy coloring those as well.  I was truly inspired by Claudia, blog: Pretty Pressings for my card.  I added a couple of my own ideas but basically lifted hers.  I just couldn't help myself.  I did NOT decorate the inside like she did.  Wow, is she amazing!!!

I am really learning a lot.  Every time I color a new image I learn something new.  The Copic Marker cards class at Scrapbook Mania this weekend is already full but we have scheduled another in March.  Call the store for more details.

Wow, It's been awhile

So sorry, I can't believe that I haven't posted since January.  I have thought about it every day but I have been so busy with a million different things that it always took a backseat to something more pressing.  So, what have I been busy doing.  Well for one I taught my Hybrrid Scrapbooking class at Scrapbook Mania which I think went rather well.  I've already had requests for another so stayed tuned for more information on that in the months ahead.  I have also been gearing up for my Copic Marker cards class which is in a little less than 2 weeks.  There are only 2 spots left so if you are interested in learning how to use Copic Markers call the Scrapbook Mania store to guarantee your spot.  

I have also realized that I never posted the winner of my blog candy.  I am so sorry about that so I am going to send the recipient a little something extra.  So the winner is CindyML. Congrats!!

Well, after all that, I actually have some images of things that I have been working on.  The first is a Christmas layout that I did based on a sketch by Valerie Salmon.  It's sketch 75 and you can find it here.

I had a lot of fun making this layout.  I used the Christmas line from October Afternoon.  I absolutely love everything that they have been releasing lately.  You might also notice the stamp in the bottom middle.  They are new from Fiskars and coordinate with their scalloped circle punches. They fit perfectly.  I added the little sticker of the candy cane in the middle.  Do you see the bling that I put on the layout.  I added little rhinestones along the scalloped edge of the patterned paper.

I also had a chance to put together a very simple cared.  I love Fluffy from Stampedous.  A little coloring done with my Copic markers and I have a nice sunny card to send to a friend to just say hi.  Well hopefully I will back a lot sooner than the last time.  Have a great day!!!
