I have always respected Ali Edwards tremendously. She seems to be so positive all of the time. It's not that she doesn't have hard times and a lot of challenges. Actually she probably has a lot more than I if you were to put the lists side by side but she amazes me by the way she handles it all. Such grace, such poise and always with determination and style. She is definitely someone to look up to. I just picked up her latest book and have been so excited looking through all of the pages. It's called Sharing Your Story: Recording Life's Details with Mini Books. One I love mini books, two I love how Ali tells her stories. It's a sure thing.
I also decided tonight to visit her blog and read about her most recent project on her blog that I have been hearing about. She used to teach a class called, A Day in the Life and she wanted to do the project again. You can get more details
here on her blog on how to get started .
So even though I am very behind Ali timeline, I thought that maybe it would be a worthy project for me to do. I have never done anything like this before. I don't feel like I am a very interesting person. My day is pretty much the same. Nothing much to report. A lot of times I feel like most of my day is downright boring. But I am also yearning for a way to look at my life more positively and ultimitely see more worth in it. So here we go, for nothing else but for myself.......
1. Got up late this morning because I hit the alarm off and fell back asleep and had a very anxiety ridden dream, ugghh.
2. Hurried through my morning routine.
3. Said good morning to the kids. They were all set and ready to go. I can always depend on them to get their stuff done in the morning.
4. Drove to work. Needed to have my Starbucks Mocha Light Frappachino and pumpkin muffin to start the day
5. Good lesson today with a 4th grade class on Podcasting, also got some items on my to do list checked off today
6. Meeting in the afternoon about a district training
7. Got a phone call from the nurse at Lexi's school. She has been having problems with her sugar dropping too low and the nurse was giving me a report
8. Stopped by my LSS to get some extra supplies for a mini album that I am working on. Finally getting around to all of those baseball pictures. Bought Ali Edwards new book, Yeah!!
8. Got home early, checked and responded to email on all 3 accounts.
9. Brett came home, helped him with his homework (not usually home early enough to do this)
10. Lexi came home. Talked to her about her day
11. Looked at my new book by Ali, worked a little on straightening up my scrap room and organizing for my mini album
12. Steve comes home.
13. Help with making dinner.
14. Sit on the back porch and enjoy the beautiful evening with Steve and a nice glass of wine.
15. Sit and watch TV while on the computer reading Ali's blog and updating my blog.
It was a good day!
What was your day like? Please leave a comment. I would love to hear if you are doing Ali's project too.
