I'm sorry to say that there won't be a StampinUp! set of the week this Saturday. I am going to Florida for my cousin's wedding and I just won't have the time to stamp the cards and post them. Besides that I will be reduced to using my mother's computer and dial up. Why anyone has dial up these days unless they have to, (my mother does not have to, she has cable!) is beyond me. Come to think of it, I really just don't know how I became such a computer geek with a mother like mine. But, oh well, I digress! So sorry to say ladies there will be no new cards this week. But stop by the following Saturday and I will make it worth your while. There will be big opportunities for blog candy that day. Tomorrow I will try to post the winner of last week's blog candy. You still have a few hours left to enter. Tonight though I want to share a new blog that I found through my online surfing. The blog is called CPS or Card Positioning Systems. Here is their introductory statement.
With a wide assortment of card sketches, design ideas and links, card positioning systems will become the starting point for all of your card creation adventures. Grab your favorite CPS (aka sketch) and begin the trip through the land of cardmaking. New travelers and seasoned pros alike are sure to be inspired by the journey. Hungry? Never fear, the natives are preparing a feast of helpful ideas and creative challenges. Have some extra time? Take the scenic route and check out the sites along the linked path. Most importantly, once you’ve reached your final destination share your travel photos with us all!
Filled with talented designers and great sketches this blog is sure to become on of your favorites. Please visit it soon and let me know what you think.
I found the card positioning system site a couple weeks ago, and it is extremely helpful for a beginner like me. I couple it with the color wheel site for some sort of structure, and then look at my patterned paper to see where I can go from there. The funny thing is, nothing ever turns out exactly like the example I strive for. Oh well, it is good practice and has made me try new designs that wouldn't come naturally to me. I like it. Have a good trip.
