Hope you had a great weekend

How was your weekend?  We had a great time the past couple of days doing all kinds of different things.  Friday night was the concert.  Just what I expected.  Tim McGraw is hot!!  Then Saturday we went to a SEC baseball game.  It was truly a lot of fun watching it.  We were disappointed that Alabama didn't win but we still had some great family time.  Then Saturday evening we went to a friends house for an impromptu barbecue and had a fantastic meal.  Monday, we went to the neighborhood pool all day and had a great time hanging out with all of our friends.  Truly a fun and fantastic weekend.  Even as busy as I was though I managed to get some scrapbooking in on Sunday.  Here is another layout that I just finished up.  I am so excited to show you this layout for two different reason.  One, because I finally got to scrap a 'SHE' page.  I was so inspired in April by Heidi Swapp when she came to the Scrap Etc event.  I really want to work on an album solely dedicated to this theme. 

And secondly, because I got to use my new photo stamps from Stamped In Ink.  These stamps are amazing.  I sent in a picture of my daughter and Sue the owner of Stamped In Ink turned it into an acrylic stamp.  These stamps are a brand new product that she is offering.  There will be two sizes.  If you would like more information on these stamps please go to her website at www.stampedinink.com.

Playtime

I can't believe I actually got to do some scrapping today.  I haven't scrapped "just because" in a long time.  It felt good. 

Guess what?

Guess what I will be doing Friday night?  That's right, watching Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on the Soul 2 Soul Tour at the BJCC.  I am so excited about seeing this concert.  I love their music and it will be so cool watching them together.  I don't think it gets any better.  If you haven't heard, you can download some of their songs at Hershey.com.  You have to buy some Hershey's chocolate to get the download codes but so what.  Who doesn't like chocolate?  And if you don't, feel free to send it my way.  I'll take it.  I love chocolate. 

3 more days of school left.  So much still left to do, final grades, report cards, cleaning, packing....  It will get done, but it's going to be a long week.  I'm glad that I have the concert to look forward to.  Sort of a celebration of the end of the school year.  I like how that turned out.

Monique told the team last night that she wanted us all to make a list of things, (the list had to have as many items on it as the age that we will turn) that we wanted to do before we had our next birthday.  Well I only have a few more months until my next birthday so I might have a hard time accomplishing anything on this list but I will give it a go.  I think I will list a few here:

39 things that I would like to accomplish before I turned 39!

1. See Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in concert  (that was easy!)   
2. Go the New York City
3. Get published in a major scrapbooking magazine
4. Lose 10 pounds
5. Get a tatoo (just a small one, not sure if this is just a mid life crisis thing or what???)
6. Do a girls trip with my mom
7. Learn to do a toe loop on ice skates
8. Organize my recipes
9. Get some good pictures of me and my kids
10. Finish redecorating my bathroom (it needs paint in a bad way)

Well that's a start.  I will need to think hard about the next ten.

Yeah!!!!   School is almost out and that means rest and relaxation coming up.  It also means more time to do the things that I love like playing with my kids, scrapbooking, exercising, and reading.   I am also planning on doing some more cooking and trying out some new desert recipes that I have. 

An update on things that have been happening lately around the house.  Alexis made the 8th grade volleyball team for next year and we are so happy and proud of her.  Brett made the All-Star baseball team and we are also very excited for him.  Brett's tooth is almost ready to fall out.  It is his first loose one and he has been wiggling it forever.  This has been a long awaited moment, he is almost 7 1/2, and I actually never thought that it would actually happen.  I'll post pictures when the big event finally arrives. 

I am addicted to reading other scrapbookers blogs.  If you look to the left you will find that I actually have quite a list of people that I check on daily.  I don't always post but I always keep up with their posts.  Today as I was checking out a link on someone's blog I found quite a gem of information.  I found another blog that has a huge list of  other scrappers blogs on it.  Here is the link  Scrapability - Blogs on Scrapbooking and Other Paper Arts - Scrapping Blogrolls.  I was excited to see some friends on the list.  Enjoy.
