A Christmas Tag- By LORi Designs Spotlight

Hello all.  How are your preparations coming for the holiday season.  I am getting very close to wrapping everything up.  Just a couple more projects and some baking and I will be ready.

I love making cards but at Christmas I also love making gift tags.  When I saw this cute little stocking I knew that it would be a perfect image for a tag.  This sweet image is part of the Lollipop Chrstams Bundle.  You can find it in Lori's Digi Shop on this page.

For this tag I colored the image with my Copics and then cut it out.  Then I adhered it with foam dots to a oval Spellbinder die stack that I cut out of matching cardstock.  The cute little white dots that you see were made with Rangers White Enamel Accents.  It is so easy and fun to use.

This tag was so easy to make that I think that I will whip up a couple more so I will have one for each of my gifts.  Don't forget to stop by Lori's blog to check out the other wonderful projects that the design team has created this week.

Jolly Holidays- By LORi Designs

Hello and how is everyone today?  Doing well I hope.  I've been good but have been seriously thinking about a lot of things lately, specifically what I want to do when I grow up.  :)  I thought that I had it all figured out when I was younger but things change.  Life changes, and all the things that I thought I had figured out changed.  So now I find myself searching for answers again.  Still, through it all, my fantastic and supportive family and my love for crafts keeps me going.  2013 is on it's way and I know it's going to bring a lot of changes.  Hoping for some great ones.

Today I want to share a card I created for By LORi Designs.  Her characters just make me smile.  I love coloring them.  This sweet little elf is part of the Lollipop collection called Christmas Bundle 1.  It includes this little girl, a stocking full of gifts, a older girl in a Santa hat and a present.  A huge bundle for just $5.  The sentiment I used is from By LORi Designs too.

Here is a closeup of the digi image.  I used R35 and R37 to color her hat and suit.  For the black areas I used W1, W3, W5, and W7 and a little bit of 110(Special Black).

I also wanted to incorporate the green color from the patterned paper in the image so I created striped stockings on her.  Please stop by Lori's blog for more inspiration from the other girls.  I've had a sneak peek and their cards are amazing.

By LORi Designs- Season's Greetings

I want to share another wonderful digi image by LORi Designs. Her name is Lollipop Saylor. Initially she was released, I think, as a summer or Fourth of July stamp but I just couldn't get Christmas out of my brain when I looked at her.  I just thought her dress was so pretty and she looked like she was ready for a holiday party.  So I drew a stick for her to hold her star and colored her in beautiful festive red and green holiday colors and added a Season's Greeting sentiment!!  The sentiment is also by LORi Designs.  It is part of her Holiday Sentiments collection which contains about 15 or so different sentiments in different fonts and styles.  You can find this set and Lollipop Saylor on the By LORi Designs blog.

Here are a couple of other things about my card.  I've colored the image with Copics. The patterned paper is Season's Greetings by Echo Park.  I put the green strip of paper through my Big Shot in a Cuttlebug folder and the flower is by Petaloo.  Look at these cool new flowers by Petaloo.  They are part of their Expressions Collection.  Aren't they pretty!!  I am also entering this card into this week's Sketch Saturday challenge.

Let It Snow- By LORi Designs Day

 Hello all!!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I've got a gorgeous card to share with you today.  This little cutey is called Winter Ella and she has her little penguin pal with her.  The Puddle Jumper series from By LORi Designs are my favorite!!  I love their sweet smiles and that they are always paired with a pet.  

For my card I used Copics to color her and the new Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder paper.  I used the 6x6 paper pad which has the perfect sized patterns for cards.  Love that!!

Snow Day- By LORi Designs Day

Is it getting cold where you live?  It started to get a little chilly here in Alabama last week but then warmed up a bit the last couple of days.  Most people think I am crazy but I really love the cold weather.  

Today my card is in celebration of my love of cold weather.  This cutie pie is all bundled up and ready for the snow to arrive.  This digital stamp from By LORi Designs is one of four new winter images that are available for purchase in her store.

 

 What I think is so cool about digital images is that you can move, copy and paste some of the elements.  On this card I took a couple of the snowflakes and pasted them around her head so that it looked like snow was falling all around her.

I love this image.  Brett asked me if that was supposed to be him.  Sure honey.  Looks like you right?  So cute.  This image is another from Lori's newest release.

Happy Day Sweet Pea- By LORI Designs Day

I've got another cute card to show you made with a digital image from By LORi Designs.  

I just love his little bald head.  Reminds me of a little someone I know.

So cute! Right?  This image is from Lori's newest release and comes in boy and girl babies.

Now when I say that this was a fun and quick card to make I really mean it.  It took me longer to pick out the ribbon to match the paper than it did anything else.  The image was super easy to color and I used this week's MoJo Monday sketch. The sentiment is from By LORi Designs and the papers are all from Echo Park and coordinated really well.

It's Your Day- By LORI Designs spotlight day

 I am so excited about sharing my card with you today.  It's my first post with the By LORi Designs design team.  I had a couple of images to work with and it was so hard to pick one.  I wanted to use them all but I guess I need to save some for next week. This sweet little girl is called Lollipop Bella and she is ready to brighten your day.  For this card I used her for a birthday card but you really could use her for so much more.

So Excited...

I'm so excited to announce that I have been asked to be a part of the amazing By LORi Designs design team.  I LOVE her digi stamps and I am thrilled to be on the team.
