Basic Grey Challenge Blog post- Sketch by Heather

I just love a good sketch and a good challenge and this week on the Basic Grey Challenge Blog you will get just that.  Every two weeks a new challenge is issued on the blog and one person is randomly picked to receive a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp which you might already know is my absolute favorite stamp store.

So here is my card and if you would like a look at Heather's sketch go here to the Challenge blog.  Of course each card made for this challenge blog needs to made with Basic Grey paper.  For this card I used Jovial, BG's new Christmas line.  I love these papers.  These papers are from the 6x6 pad so the pattern size is just perfect for my card.

Here is the image up close.  This stamp is by Moonlight Whispers for Kraftin Kimmie stamps.  She was the first stamp I ever got from this line.  Since then there have been so many wonderful new stamps that have been released.  Some sweet, some funny, some "bad", and some just plain wacky!  You should check them out.  They are some of the most unique stamps that I have ever seen and I love them.

The sentiment is from a Friendship Sentiment set by Amy R for C.C. Designs, another favorite stamp maker of mine.  Her sentiments are always the perfect blend of type faces and quotes.  Lastly, my image is colored with Copic markers.

Basic Grey Challenge Blog post- Sparkly

Wow, I really don't know what happened to my post so I apologize to anyone that came here looking for my card for the new challenge on the Basic Grey Challenge blog.  It was all set up.  I remember what I said and that I linked everything up and then went I looked at my blog today it was not there.  Strange.

So let's start anew, shall we?  

I am happy to announce that I will now be part of the Basic Grey Challenge team.  They had a design team call and I was one of the lucky girls chosen.  Yeah!!

Here is my first card as part of the design team, all sparkly and filled with Basic Grey goodness.  The paper that I used is from Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers line.  It was the perfect color scheme for my fall inspired card.  Did you know if you submit a card to this challenge you could win a $25 gift certificate to the online store Simon Says Stamp.  They have generously sponsored our challenge this week.

 

The stamp is Standing Fall Tilda which is a very favorite of mind.  I just love her sweater and matching hat.  The sparkly leaves and paper is from Petaloo.  The leaves are actually glitter covered foam die cuts.  The glitter paper is thin enough to be cut in my die cut machine and punches.  The leaf punch is from Martha Stewart.
