A short personal note first before I tell you about the fabulous card challenge today going on at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.
As most of you might know already our baby Garrett Matthew is due to arrive on July 10 (aka any time now) and I will be checking out of blog land for a short time until I get back into the swing of things. I do have some cards prepared and who knows maybe I will have some quiet times to create in between feedings. I will also have some extra special helpers too in my teenage kids as well as Grandmas and friends so if I sneak a post in now and then in the next month than that will be a bonus. I hope to get back on track no later than August 1st.
So hopefully after this week's Simon Says Stamps Challenge post the next post you will be seeing from me will be when I am introducing our new bundle of joy.
So without further ado, let's get on with the show and see what we have today for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog!
This week's challenge is called a Stitch in Time.
So I grabbed out my brand new We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy tool and the scallop head and went to work creating the decorative stitched embellishment that you see on the left side of the card. The head that I used was the scalloped edge. Talk about easy. Once the holes were punched then I just whipped out my needle which is located in the little hideaway spot in the handle, threaded it with some beautifully thick floss from We R Memory Keepers and backstitched away. I think that this product have just touched the surface of what it can do and I can't wait to see all of the ideas that crafters come up with. There are many different heads that will create different punching patterns which could be mixed and matched with other heads. Sew Easy is definitely a must have tool and I look forward to getting the rest of the heads to experiment with.
Other things of note on my card today is the adorable little stamp from My Favorite Things. It's from the Pure Innocence collection and it is called Out on a Limb. I also used a 6x6 paper pad from My Minds Eye called Life of the Party.
Don't forget that each week a $50 gift certificate is given to one lucky random winner from those who submitted a card to our challenge. Wouldn't that be cool! You never know when it might be you!
