I am so happy to be the guest designer for All That Scraps this month. I have had so much using the stamps released this month. I have to admit that I wasn't sure how I was going to use the following stamp. Totally cute but so different from the Swiss Pixies that I usually reach for. When I pulled the stamp out of the packaging I noticed that the title was Queen of Hearts. I decided to google that title for inspiration. I have always loved Alice in Wonderland, especially the Disney version, so when I saw a picture from the movie I immediately knew what I was going to do. I just happened to have picked up some fun geometric black and white paper from Teresa Collins just last week. The bold pattern fit right into the look I was going for. It was also a total bonus that I got this Martha Stewart punch last month, (first time I have used it), that resembled the shape of a heart.
I will admit that I struggled a little bit with her black hair. It's so hard to get it just right. I used some Spellbinders dies to create a frame behind the image but I think my favorite part is the speech bubble. How fun. I will have to use it more often.
My Word: Action
I am truly taking this seriously. I feel in my heart that this is my year. I have some things that I am working on that I am so excited about. I can't wait to share. So sorry about the tease but I couldn't contain myself.
There are still a few spaces left in my Beginner's Copic marker class next Saturday so if you have been wanting to learn about these fabulous markers please call Scrapbook Mania, Birmingham, Alabama for more information. 205-424-4246.
